Mastiplan® LC
Mastiplan LC is used for the treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating dairy cows caused by Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative Staphylococci, Streptococcus Agalactiae, Streptococcus Dysgalactiae, Streptococcus Uberis and Escherichia coli sensitive to Cefapirin.
Mastiplan LC is an innovative new, broad spectrum intramammary mastitis treatment for lactating dairy cows. Each tube of Mastiplan LC contains 300mg cefapirin and 20mg prednisolone. As a result of trials to show the optimum anti-inflammatory effect, new Mastiplan LC has between 2 and 4 times the prednisolone of traditional prednisolone containing LC tubes. Combined with the modern cephalosporin antibiotic, cefapirin, the resultant effect is a long acting treatment against all the common mastitis pathogens with rapid visible relief of symptoms.
Each 10ml syringe contains 300mg cefapirin and 20mg prednisolone. The contents of one syringe should be infused after milking into affected quarter at 12 hour intervals for 4 consecutive milkings.
